Jen Walker Welcomes You to Del Ray
Jen Walker has called Del Ray home for more than 20 years, and her community involvement is second to none.
Del Ray is known for its attractive, early 20th-century architecture, which gives character to its navigable, gridiron plan. The community's atmosphere lends itself to a genuinely comfortable and homey living experience. Del Ray is a pedestrian's paradise and there is plenty to do for those seeking an active lifestyle. Four Mile Run Park, which connects to the Washington & Old Dominion Trail, is located nearby and is an ideal outlet for bikers and runners. Del Ray also offers an eclectic mix of boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. Del Ray boasts an active community calendar, which enriches the lives of residents and visitors alike. Each year, on the first Saturday in October, the community turns out for Art on the Avenue, an outdoor street festival featuring hundreds of artists, live music and delicious food. Other annual traditions include the Thanksgiving Day, 5-mile "Turkey Trot" Race, a Halloween Parade and the Holiday Tree Lighting. The Del Ray Farmers Market, which runs year-round does not disappoint. It features a great selection of local, seasonal produce as well as a few surprises like cheese, baked goods, and tea stands.

The Electric Car
In August 2006, the environmentally-conscious Jen Walker proved once again that community building doesn't just stop with real estate. The acquisition of an electric GEM car for Team Walker means not only quicker response to neighborhood business, but cleaner air for all to breathe.
If you see Jen making the rounds in her GemCar, please honk and wave! Maybe you can even catch a ride!
