Del Ray is located in the area northwest of Old Town, Alexandria. A community of communities, Del Ray includes Warwick Village, Saint Elmo, Hume and Mt. Ida. Like North Ridge to the west, the history of Del Ray is rooted in a rural past. Founded in 1894 as a planned community, Del Ray quickly became a bustling streetcar community.
